The C. Melvin Snow Library in Spotsylvania Courthouse will reopen Monday December 22 at 9:00 am.

After a few weeks of opening and closing the Snow Branch will reopen on Monday, December 22 at 9:00 am.  The Library has been closed due to maintenance issues in the building which includes The Marshall Center. The Marshall Center is scheduled to undergo renovations in 2026. Many of the Senior activities in the Marshall Center will be moved to the County’s Community Centers. 

These are the Hours of Operation at this time according to the Central Rappahannock Library System Website
Monday 9:00AM - 8:00PM 

Tuesday 900AM - 8:00PM

Wednesday 9:00AM - 8:00PM

Thursday 9:00AM - 8:00PM

Friday Closed

Saturday Closed 

Sunday Closed 

* The Library will also be closed Wednesday December 24 for Christmas Eve and Thursday December 25 for Christmas Eve all day, New Year's Eve Wednesday, December 31, 2025 Closes early: 1:00pm and New Year's Day Thursday, January 1, 2026 Closed All Day. 

The Library system has included the following changes that will affect the Snow Branches services. 

Holds pickup

  • Holds that are ready for pickup now will remain at Salem Church Branch.
  • If customers wish to switch their holds that are ready for pickup at Salem Church to Snow Branch, please call 540-372-1144 or submit a request online at librarypoint.org/ask (email and live chat). Live chat assistance is available Monday-Thursday: 9:00-8:00, and Friday-Saturday: 9:00-5:30.
  • All new holds will go directly to Snow Branch.

The book drop at Snow Branch will reopen on Monday.
