The Blossoming Bears JV Cheer Squad
received 1st place honors in Category 1 Junior Performance at the 48th 2025 Christmas Parade.

Who are the Blossoming Bears Cheer Program.

The Blossoming Bears Cheer Program was started three years ago in 2022. The Cheer Program is led by Head Coach Mrs. Shamilla Q Beslow who volunteered to get the program off the ground through the Spotsylvania County Department of Parks and Recreation which sponsors the program to this day.

Coach Shamila brings structure, creativity, compassion, and passion to every practice and event. With strong leadership experience and a heart for youth development, she ensures that every cheerleader feels valued, supported, and empowered.

She said “This victory was more than a trophy — it was a celebration our athletes’ growth over the years, The dedication of our families, The strength of a program built from pure volunteer spirit, and the pride and unity of our cheer community.”

What do the Blossoming Bears Stand for.

The Blossoming Bears Cheer Program is rooted in values that help children flourish:

She goes on to say “Our program teaches: Strong cheer fundamentals, Teamwork and sportsmanship, Responsibility, discipline, self respect,confidence on and off the field.”

Finally as the Blossoming Bears grows,

Participate in local and regional events
Strengthen our traditions and community engagement
Continue providing a supportive, safe, and inspiring space for youth athletes.
