The Democrats Increased Their Hold On The Virginia House Of Delegates

Last night Virginia Democrats increased their majority to a Super Majority. WTOP Radio shows their majority has gone from a simple majority 51 to 48 members to a super majority winning 64 seats.  WTOP continues “Of the 100 House of Delegates seats voters decided, 10 were labeled “competitive” in the Virginia Public Access Project Index.

In Spotsylvania Democrats Nicole Cole and Josh Cole won. Nicole Cole in HD 66  beat the 36 year House Member Bobby Orrock and Josh Cole in HD 65 got reelected over challenger Shaun  Steinway. 

The House of Delegates will reconvene on January 17, 2026.
