1. Why are you running?
I’m running to ensure every child in Spotsylvania County receives a quality education rooted in strong academics, supportive families, and community partnerships. Our students deserve schools that prepare them for life—not just for tests.

2. What are the top three issues you want to address in office?

  1. Strengthening academic excellence and accountability.
  2. Supporting teachers and staff with resources and respect.
  3. Building stronger collaboration between schools, families, and the community.

3. What is the number 1 issue on the minds of voters in Spotsylvania County?
The quality and stability of our schools. Parents and residents want consistent leadership, safe learning environments, and students who are prepared for success in college, careers, and citizenship.

4. What problems are you noticing in the county due to the Federal Government Shutdown?

Families employed by the federal government are facing uncertainty, which creates stress for children in our classrooms. We must provide stability and support to help students stay focused and feel secure.

5. How should we improve education in the County?
By returning our focus to fundamentals—strong reading, math, and science—while expanding vocational and technical opportunities. We must invest in teachers, modernize classrooms, and keep decisions student-centered, not politically driven.

6. How can the County and/or the State improve Mental Health Services?
As someone with a bachelor’s degree in counseling and a strong advocate for mental health, I believe we must expand school-based counseling services and build partnerships with community agencies. Early intervention, education, and access to qualified professionals are key to supporting students and families.

7. How can we improve funding for Special Education and English Language Learners?
We must advocate at the state level for equitable funding and ensure local dollars are used efficiently. Every child—regardless of ability or background—deserves the resources needed to succeed.

8. What can we as a County do to create affordable housing for our Teachers, Police, Firefighters, First Responders, and Health Care Workers?
Collaborate with local developers and state partners to create incentive-based housing programs that allow essential workers to live in the communities they serve.

9. Is there anything else the voters should know about you?
I’m a lifelong educator and pastor who has served this community for over 30 years. My mission is simple: Strong Schools. Striving Students. Supportive Families. Together, we can build a brighter future for Spotsylvania County.
