COUNTY RIVALRY HIGHLIGHTS FRIDAY’S GAMES

Chancellor visits Spotsylvania, Courtland hosts Caroline, Massaponax travels to Brooke Point and Riverbend welcomes Stafford. All four games are scheduled for 7 p.m.

CHANCELLOR AT SPOTSYLVANIA
Game of the Week

Spotsylvania enters the county rivalry at 3-4 after defeating Caroline 30-21 last week. Chancellor is 1-6 following a 33-22 loss to James Monroe. The Knights will seek a second consecutive victory, while the Chargers have an opportunity to turn their season’s closing stretch around against a county rival.

CAROLINE AT COURTLAND

Courtland enters at 5-2 with five consecutive victories. The Cougars defeated Eastern View 53-19 last week, following a narrow 27-26 win over Spotsylvania. Caroline comes off a 30-21 loss to the Knights. Courtland will look to maintain its momentum on its home field.

MASSAPONAX AT BROOKE POINT

Massaponax looks to rebound from last week’s 43-0 loss to Stafford. The Panthers face another road challenge against Brooke Point, which defeated Hartwood 42-7 last week. Friday provides Massaponax an opportunity to regroup against a team coming off a decisive victory.

STAFFORD AT RIVERBEND

Riverbend brings a 6-2 record into its home matchup with 6-1 Stafford. The Bears seek to bounce back from a 29-16 loss at Colonial Forge. Stafford arrives after shutting out Massaponax 43-0, setting up a meeting between two teams with winning records as the regular season approaches its finish.
