Bears improve to 2-0 with another dominant performance

SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. — Riverbend continued its dominant start to the 2026 football season Thursday night, defeating Forest Park 51-7.
The victory improves Riverbend to 2-0 and gives the Bears another emphatic result during the opening weeks of the season.
Riverbend opened the year with a 49-0 victory over Chancellor before putting 51 points on the scoreboard against Forest Park.
Through two games, the Bears have now outscored their opponents 100-7.
That early scoring margin makes Riverbend one of the stories to watch as the Spotsylvania County high school football season moves deeper into September.
Thursday’s result also provided another strong showing for a Riverbend program looking to build momentum early in the season.
The Bears’ defense has surrendered only seven points through eight quarters of football, while the offense has averaged 50 points per game.
