The first meeting will be important to set the tone for how the new Board will promote their legislatives priorities for the term. The very first thing they will do will be to elect the chairman and vice chair. It will be interesting to see how the newly elected Supervisor from Berkeley District David Goosman votes. It will establish who he aligns himself with on the Board.

Should the Board reelect Chairman Chris Yacbowski or should they go in a different direction? Same goes Vice Chairman’s position. The next item will be the introduction of Berkeley Supervisor David Goosman to the Board and the citizens of Spotsylvania County. He will probably introduce himself and list his priorities for 2026. During the course of the evening each Supervisor will speak and talk about the future of the county in 2026.
