September is here now the real campaign season begins. Campaign Signs can be seen all over the county. Traditionally most people do not pay attention to local and state races until after Labor Day. The 45 day Early Voting period begins on September 19. This year Saturday voting is the last two Saturdays October 25 and November 1. Early Voting will be at the same place as last year. The location is Lee Hill One Building 10300 Spotsylvania Ave Fredericksburg VA 22408-parking/enter at the back entrance. Hours are 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
Across Virginia Abigail Spanberger and Winsome Earl-Sears face off for Governor. Ghazala Hashmi goes up against John Reid for Lt Governor. Jay Jones squares off against Jason Myares
for Attorney General.
In Spotsylvania we have 3 House of Delegates races. In House District 66 School Board member Nicole Cole is running against the incumbent Bobby Orrock. In House District 63 Veteran Forest Miller is running against the incumbent Phil Scott. In House District 65 Sean Steinway is running the incumbent Joshua Cole.
Voting is also taking place in the Battlefield, Berkeley, and Lee Hill Districts for the Board of Supervisors. In Battlefield Barron Brazwell is running against incumbent Board Chair Chris. Yakabouski. In Berkeley Nilofer Garza and David Goosman are both are running against incumbent Ken Marshal. In Lee Hill Marcus Garcia is running against incumbent Lori Hayes.
Finally, School Board members are being elected in Battlefield, Berkeley, and Lee Hill Districts as well. Battlefield has two new comers Dr James King, Jennifer Carol Ford, and Nick Ignacio.
In Berkeley Larry DiBella is running against Ananda Monroe. In Lee Hill three new comers Rich Lieberman, Gabbi Pickover, and Todd Rump are running against each other.
